About Laurie

Hi, I’m Laurie Holland Nessland.

I’m a licensed clinical counselor with over 25 years experience and the creator of the Feel Better Fast Technique™, a mind-body approach designed to help people release emotional stress at its root. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and I am also certified in Brainspotting and have advanced certification in NeuroEmotional Technique (NET).

My path to mind-body work began with a cancer diagnosis in my early 20’s. Even in the face of fear, I began regular gratitude and prayer practice, which led to a profound sense of peace, completely erasing the fears and even surprising my doctors with my resilience and speed of healing. That is when I began to explore the intimate connection of the mind, body, and spirit, as well as help others on their healing journey.

I have helped thousands of people reduce emotional stress such as anxiety, grief, trauma, and even chronic pain through the use of mind-body techniques that support both emotional and physical well-being. I have worked in private practice, community mental health, group homes, schools (elementary, middle, and high school), as well as four volunteer trips to Kenya and Zambia, Africa where I provided grief and trauma interventions for orphaned and vulnerable children.

For years, I saw that many people were trying incredibly hard to feel better but were missing tools that addressed the mind-body connection.
